Psalm 122:1 says, “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go into the house of the Lord.’” The late evangelist, Vance Havner, once said, “Don’t ever come to church without coming as though it were the first time, as though it could be the best time and as though it might be the last time.”

First Baptist Church was established in 1884. Faithful people throughout these years joined hands and hearts in working together to make our church what it is today. Today our people are just as committed to our Lord’s Great Commission as recorded in Matthew 28:18-20 as were the people in 1884. The first letters of our church’s name explains our church’s mission:

We have a staff who are dedicated to the Lord and who lead us in the various ministries our church has to offer. We hope this site gives you the information you may need to become acquainted with our staff and the ministries and programs our church offers.
